The Stress of Life

Stress does not understand the providence of God working in the details of our lives. Stress refuses to believe that God is working all things together for good in the lives of those who love Him. God has a purpose in all things. Stress leaves no room to think about God. Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me" (John 14:1).

Stress can never rest. Those who live with stress are restless. When stress is brought to God, it's power is totally broken. Stress is brought to God by faith through prayer. Resting in God's providence brings the peace that stress could never afford. "There remains therefore a rest for the people of God" (Hebrews 4:9).

Pray the Word: Father, I bring my stress to You. I come to rest in You. In all the trouble of life, I trust and believe in You, through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Do the Word: When stress attacks you, come to God in prayer. Believe that God the Father and His Son are working for your good. Rest in the presence of God's love, goodness and peace.
