When you see the light, it comes quickly to dispel darkness. The change is sudden and abrupt. Darkness is defeated immediately in the presence of light. That's the way God's grace changes people who have lived in darkness. Light pushes back the darkness every time.
Darkness yields to the light without any resistance. So it is in conversion. It is not man's achievement. Rather, the light comes to him from without, changing his heart within. Light is God's work in man's dark heart.
Light is no respecter of persons. What light can do for one, it can do for anyone. Light may shine anywhere and everywhere. Man cannot make the light shine. He can only see the light as it shines. Then, he can see the light and walk in the light. "If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).
See the light in Jesus Christ. He said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" (John 8:12). When we see the light, we see the glory of Jesus Christ. He is the light of life. See the light, then you can walk in the light.
