When problems come, you may feel defeated, depressed or overwhelmed. One thing is certain, you are not by yourself. That is a common experience. The question is how do we deal problems? Some may give up and resign to it. Others may look the way of self-help books.
You can experience victory over your problems. God wants you to share your problems with him in prayer, but more than that, he wants you to praise him in the midst of the problems. Even if God chooses not to change your circumstances, he will change your attitude and thoughts.
Praising God changes our hearts and our focus. We are no longer focused upon the problems but the one who is the solution. Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name (Hebrews 13:15, ESV). Praising God honors the one who is the solution to your problems. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
God can change any situation in your life anytime he pleases. In a word, he is sovereign over heaven and earth. As you praise him, he may choose to bring amazing changes. However, if he chooses not to change your outward circumstances, he will certainly change your attitude and give you grace and victory through those circumstances. Praise God through your problems.
