The USA celebrates freedom as a nation today. Remember, there is another freedom for every believer in Christ. Jesus said, Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36). That's freedom from the bondage of sin, temptation, guilt, shame, and fear. All of us are prisoners to the bondage of sin, until Jesus Christ makes us free. Anyone may be free by calling upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
Be free in Christ. He can make you free from the past with a new beginning. He will forgive anything that you have done wrong. He will work in your life to reconcile and restore you. He has a future for you that is good, with a plan to bless you along the way.
Be free at the cross of Christ. Jesus died on the cross, that we may be forgiven for anything and everything that we have done wrong. Simply ask the Lord to forgive you. But, here's the big question: Are you willing to forgive yourself? And, one more important question: Are you willing to forgive others?
Be free in Christ today. Read the Bible to know the truth. God loves us. Christ Jesus died for us. God will forgive us. Most importantly, we can be free from sin, shame and condemnation. God will give us a new beginning. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free (John 8:32, NLT). Jesus is the truth. He makes you free. Today, be free in Christ.
