Do you ever feel helpless? Have situations in life overwhelmed you, and caused you to feel helpless? God's help is available. But, you may say, I don't deserve God's help. I haven't always done the right thing. It's not about how good you are; it's about how good God is. He is good, and that's the reason God is merciful. Ask God for mercy. God's mercy is for you.
Mercy is God's help for us, when we don't deserve it. Ask God for mercy. It will come for one reason. God is merciful, and his mercy endures forever. Asking God for mercy is asking Him to be who He is. Those who fear the Lord with reverence know from experience that it's true. God's mercy is help for the helpless.
Let those who fear the Lord now say, his mercy endures forever (Psalm 118:4). God's enduring mercy is for those who fear Him. That does not mean that you are frightened by God. It does mean that you hold Him in awe with utmost reverence and respect. He is God, beside whom there is no other.
Those who don't believe God will help them, don't understand that he is merciful. Unbelief says, "There is no God who will help me." Faith says, "His mercy endures forever." Mercy is based upon who God is. He is merciful. God's mercy is help for the helpless.
