Do Not Fear

Fear is a cruel enemy. It can make cowards out of strong men. Fear can rob you of peace and joy. Fear tries to force you to give up. It robs you of success in life, causing you to forfeit your God given purpose and destiny. Tormenting fear is never your friend.

Stand up to fear with faith in God. Fear is like a shadow fleeing in the presence of light. The light of God's word in the Bible is the truth that defeats the lies of fear. The word of God is your sword to conquer fear. Read it. Believe it. Speak it. Pray it back to God.

Fear is your call to prayer. God's help defeats your fear every time. Fill your mind with the truth of God. Fear's false threats cannot stand before the truth of God. Read what the Bible says about fear. Conquer your fear standing by faith on the promises of God. Make the Bible your prayer book. Calling upon God to deliver you from fear is the way out of darkness into light.

God has a word for you today. He says, "Do not fear." As a fearful person, you could say, "I don't want to live with this fear, but I can't help it." That's true. You can't, but God can. He can deliver you from all your fears. Call upon God. Ask Him to do for you, what you cannot do for yourself. Through God's help, do not fear.

"You listened to my pleading; you heard my weeping!
Yes, you came at my despairing cry and told me, 'Do not fear."

Lamentations 3:56-57, NLT
