Do you have the assurance of life after death? Do you have the assurance of being saved from death and judgment through Christ? The gospel is the good news of Christ. It's the promise of everlasting life.
Through trusting Christ alone, you have the assurance of sins forgiven and life eternal. The faith of every Christian is based upon the resurrection of Christ. Faith is trust and confidence in Jesus Christ. It is believing that He died for your sins, and He was raised from the dead.
Faith in Christ and His resurrection is based upon the testimony of witnesses who saw Him after He was raised from the dead. Their witness is recorded in the Bible. The Holy Spirit enables you to believe and receive assurance. A living faith in the living Christ is the evidence.
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart
that God has raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved."
