Don't just take what you can get in life, but receive God's best. Fear can cause you to think that you will never have the best, so you settle for anything you can get. That could be so sad, because God wants the best for all His children. Shouldn't we want the best for our children? Why would you think that God wants anything less for His children?
You have God's best through His Son. Jesus Christ came into this world that all believers may have the abundant life eternal. Trusting Christ gives you an inheritance with God's best. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3). Did you notice the word every when it comes to God's blessings. They are all for us in Christ.
You have God's best through the Holy Spirit. He is the Father's promise to every believer. "Having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise" (Ephesians 1:13). Every believer is sealed with the Holy Spirit. Yielding to Him fills you with love, joy, and peace. The Holy Spirit gives you patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. He gives you power to live for Christ and witness to others.
God's best for you is yet to come. Our hope as believers in Christ is steadfast and true. One day, we shall be like Him. "When He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is" (1 John 3:2). Trusting in Christ means you have every spiritual blessing from God, those you have received and those yet to come.
