Jesus Your Teacher

Jesus says to you, "Come, be my disciple" (John 1:43, NLT). That's an invitation to follow him as your teacher. A disciple is a student. Jesus wants to teach you, but you must be willing to follow him.

The only way you can follow Jesus is by faith. He will lead you to follow him through the Bible and the experiences of your life. He wants you to understand how God works in the world and in your life. Ir's a journey of faith. "What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see" (Hebrews 11:1).

The Spirit of Christ lives within every believer. Jesus will teach you through the Holy Spirit. That's his promise. Jesus said, "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Bible. He uses the Bible today to teach every believer the truth of God.

The Spirit of Christ, also known as the Holy Spirit, will open your understanding to truth in the Bible. He will bring things to your remembrance. He will apply the teaching of the Bible to your life. You may ask him questions. He has the answers. He is the Spirit of God leading you into all truth.
