Who are the friends in your life? Who can you depend upon to lift you up and encourage you? Who among your friends have supported you through the hard times of life? They are a blessing from God. "A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother" (Proverbs 18:24). Trusted friends who really care about you are gifts from God. They want the best for you. They are there for you when you need them.
"There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Jesus is that person for those who know Him by faith in their hearts. He is a friend who will never leave you nor forsake you. He is a friend you may talk to anytime and anywhere. He is a friend forever. Jesus says to us, "I have called you friends" (John 15:15). Jesus is the best friend you could ever have.
Pray the Word: Lord Jesus, you are my best friend. You died for all my sins. You are forever dependable and trustworthy.
Do the Word: What a friend we have in Jesus. He loves us forever. He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. Enjoy Him everyday. Talk to Him. Walk with Him. Trust Him to help you.
