Trust God for Help

When trouble comes, turn to the LORD for strength and help. Turn to the Bible to find the promises of God's help in your trouble. Believe the promise and pray it back to God. Trust God to help you. He will, as you stand by faith on the sure promises of His word. Your trouble is God's opportunity to show you His faithfulness.

"The LORD of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge" (Psalm 46:11). This verse refers twice to the covenant of God. LORD is His covenant name. The covenant was established through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God promises to be the refuge or safe place for all who trust His covenant word.

The LORD is with all who trust Him. Trust is a confident assurance that God will do all that He has promised. He says to all believers, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6; Joshua 1:5; Hebrews 13:5). That's His covenant promise

When you encounter trouble, as a believer, you have God's sure word of promise. You can depend upon Him as your refuge and strength, even a very present help in time of trouble. Doubt says, "But how can I know that God is really with me? What if He is not?" Faith says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). God is the present help for you.
