Those Who Desire God

Left to ourselves, we would never seek God. Our nature has been corrupted because of sin. Because of our sinful nature, we have no desire for God in our hearts. Your heart is the mind, will, and emotions.

But God's grace seeks you, grace that precedes your desire for God. You will know when it happens. You become like the deer panting after the brooks of water. You begin to seek Him who has already sought you.

If you have a desire for God, it is the assurance that He may be found. He satisfies those who thirst after Him. He is the water of life who fills you, until you know satisfaction like never before.

God made you for Himself. He desires you, because He loves you. He becomes the desire of your life, because His grace has given you the desire for Him. Thank Him for that very desire. Those who desire God have been found by Him. Now you can say, "I once was lost, but now I'm found."

"There is none who understands;
there is none who seeks after God."
Romans 3:11

"As the deer pants for the water brooks,
so pants my soul for You, O God."
Psalm 42:1
