What's the greatest gift you have ever received? This is the time of year when we think about gifts. Children are excited about the gifts they may receive. Shoppers are busy everywhere looking for the right gift. Christmas is the season for giving and receiving gifts. In this busy season don't forget the greatest gift of all.
Christmas is about God giving the greatest gift. He gave His Son. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son" (John 3:16). Jesus is the gift of the Father's love to this world.
The greatest gift is found at the cross of Jesus. The good news is that Jesus died for our sins and He is risen. He gives eternal life to all who believe in Him. "The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
