Your Heart Made Pure

Jesus says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8). Jesus is the One who changes hearts. He has been changing hearts for centuries. The One who spoke about being pure in heart, is the only One who can make a person's heart pure.

There is a mystery in how Jesus changes hearts to be pure. Theologians debate it. Teachers try their best to explain it. Yet, we cannot fully explain it, but we can experience it. Come to Jesus by faith and ask Him to change your heart.

"For with the heart one believes unto righteousness" (Romans 10:10). Believing in Jesus is trusting Him to do in you, what you cannot do for yourself, change your heart.

Jesus cleanses or purifies our hearts based upon His sacrifice at the cross for our sins. "The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). There is no heart so sinful that Jesus cannot make pure. You may not be able to explain how Jesus changed your heart, but you know that it has happened.

The blessing of the pure in heart is to see God. We are able by faith to see Him in the face of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "He who has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). Every believer has this promise. "We know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is" (1 John 3:2). That's the believer's blessed hope at the return of Christ. Your heart made pure is in Christ alone.
