Worry Is a Choice

Think about worry as a choice. If then worry is a choice, what is the other option? Choose God. There is no worry in God. Trusting God puts pressure on worry to leave immediately. Your mind can only focus upon one subject at a time. God is the greatest thought you could ever have, because God is great. "For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever" (Romans 11:36).

Worry often comes from situations beyond your control. However, no situation is beyond God's control, because God is sovereign. He sees all, knows all, and rules over all. You will find yourself in no situation beyond God's control. Ask for God's help. He is a present help to those in need. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).

Pray the Word: Father, I choose to turn away from worry, as I turn to you as a very present help. You are working all things together for my good, through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

Do the Word: Make a list of all your worries. Make that your prayer list. Believe that God is present to help in each situation. Ask God for help. Praise God that help is present, because God is always present with you.
