God wants you to love others. God can make you a channel of His love to anyone and everyone. Some people may not read a Bible to know of God's love. Yet, God's love for them through you can change their lives. No, you cannot change their lives, but God's love through you can. "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God" (1 John 4:7).
God wants you to love yourself. That may sound strange to some people. Certainly, God does not want you to be selfish, self-centered, nor narcissistic. Loving yourself agrees with God, because He loves you. Listen to these words from the Bible: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18).
Pray the Word: Father, fill me with the love of the Holy Spirit, that I may love others as I love myself, through my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Do the Word: Loving others as yourself is God's will. Recognize that you cannot do that without God's love working through you. Ask God daily to fill you with the love of the Spirit in Christ.
