God made you for a purpose. He made you to love you; He made you to love Him. Your relationship with God may simply be described by this one word, love. That's the key word for your life. Love is so important, because it tells you who God is. "God is love" (1 John 4:8). You can know God through love.
God's purpose for you is to love others. God can make you a channel of His love to anyone and everyone. Some people may not read a Bible to know of God's love. Yet, God's love for them through you can change their lives. No, you cannot change their lives, but God's love through you can. "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God" (1 John 4:7).
God's purpose for you is to love others as yourself. Loving yourself may sound strange to some people. Certainly, God does not want you to be selfish, self-centered, nor narcissistic. Loving yourself agrees with God, because He loves you and wants you to love others "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18).
