Your Authority In Christ

Do you realize your authority in Christ? Many believers may not really understand their authority in Christ. They have never been taught that the believer's authority comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has all authority. Jesus said, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth" (Matthew 28:18). Under the Lord Jesus Christ, the believer receives his authority.

The believer in Christ has authority as a child of God. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12). Your authority as a child of God is in the name of Jesus. His name is the name above all names. Your authority is proven through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Your authority in Christ is experienced through prayer. You have a right to call God your Father, because He is through faith in Christ. As the Father's child, you have the right to ask Him to forgive you, give to you according to your need, and to deliver you from evil. You ask for His will to be done in your life.

The believer is not a beggar in prayer. You come to God as a child to his father. It's your birthright through faith in Christ. That's the reason you pray in Jesus name. Your requests are made to our Father in the name of the One who has all authority in heaven and on earth. He is your authority.
